– Conducting meetings by phone / video link where practical and taking adequate precautions if making site visits.

– Keeping the office open for the time being with social distancing and hygiene precautions to keep effective communication lines open. If it is necessary to close the office in future phone divert and home working will still enable us to keep the office working.

Build Solar – January 2019

Koha collaborated with Build Solar for their Dubai Expo 2020 submission and created a concept and images to showcase their innovative new solar squared product.

“Solar squared incorporates patent-pending glass block technology that enables electricity generation, bringing us closer towards net-zero energy buildings. It’s modular and attractive design allows seamless integration within building architecture.

The façade lifetime costs are lower than the equivalent glass block wall thanks to the benefit of free electricity generation and improved thermal insulation. Build Solar is supported by cutting-edge research, carried out at the University of Exeter.”

The alterations made to the house really take advantage of the stunning panoramic views from the Helford River around to Port Navas and further beyond. These can be enjoyed from the surrounding terracing. There just remains some soft landscaping to be carried out to help the building further nestle into its setting.
