Prodigal Theatre & Urban Playground - Rehearsal Space
A new eco rehearsal space for Cornish theatre and Parkour company - Prodigal Theatre and Urban Playground (UPG). The studio will be the first of its kind in the country, accommodating the creation of small scale theatre and dance work, while also providing the local community with a place to meet world-class theatre and dance artists and their teaching.
It will sit alongside a 10m x 12m outdoor rehearsal space for use by small to mid-scale outdoor performance makers. Alongside these development spaces, Prodigal UPG will offer accommodation to artists in residence.
With an A-symmetrical gabled roof to house plenty of solar panels, new grey-water harvesting and an Air Source Heat Pump alongside space for an allotment and bee garden, the scheme aims to lower their carbon footprint and suit their sustainable ethos.
