Alma Place - Vulnerable Adult Housing, Redruth

Koha is architect and lead consultant for the refurbishment and change of use to a historic town centre building being converted from retail/commercial use into residential accommodation for homeless people and vulnerable adults in Cornwall.

As part of the project a retail unit on Alma Place is to be converted to a cafe/ farm shop/ community hub to complement the supported accommodation.

The refurbishment of this prominent historic building in the conservation area of Redruth is part of the overall regeneration of Redruth Town centre including Redruth Revial’s regeneration of the Buttermarket over the road.

MVHR ventilation system for whole building along with Air to Water Heat Pumps, electrical radiators and future electrical battery storage and pV to provide a building without any gas boilers and significantly reduced energy demands.
