Hanwell Regeneration

In 2011, in conjunction with Hill Mitchell Berry Architects, Koha helped provide the detailed design for this multi-story building with a mix of light industrial and residential units as part of the regeneration of a redundant industrial site.

The scheme helped transform the site into an open place for people to live and enjoy which connected the green corridor of the Grand Union Canal to residential areas. The scheme was nominated by the local council for a design award. The key message of this project was to show how simple high-quality design for a specific site can achieve great results in regenerating and reconnecting areas of our city, turning previous industrial landscapes into spaces for homes and recreation, and bringing wider benefits to the surrounding area.
